| The England Squad: The up and coming | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

|
Michael Owen: (Liverpool) A great example of a fine young English player as we saw in France '98. Lee Hendire: (Aston Villa) Maybe his first cap was a bit premeture but he looks to be a future replacement for Gascoinge. Joe Cole: (West Ham) Only 17 years old when started playing for W Ham; he has impressed in the under 18 tournaments and hopefully will in the future for England. Luke Young: (Tottenham) Could be a first team regular for spurs due to the poor form of switzerlands Ramon Vega. Frank Lampard: (West Ham) The England U21 captain and wanted by tottenham. Lee Hughes: (West Brom) The top scorer in the whole of the English leagues and only 23; enough said. Robbie Keane: (Wolves) He's not English but still at 18 he's a brilliant striker and plays 1st team football for his country. Lee Bowyer: (Leeds) We need someone who can play down the left and he would be just perfect. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
